Camper systems
Operational notes from photos and Victron screenshots. Useful for trips, not just garage work.
Controller shown as SmartSolar HQ223022AXN. Shade screenshot showed roughly 11 W solar, 18.7-19.0 V, 0.6 A, battery around 12.57 V, charge current around 0.90 A, state Bulk.
Use gas when parked, 12V only while driving if alternator charging is wired correctly, and 230V on shore power. Do not run 12V while parked unless battery/solar capacity is intentionally sized.
At rest: 12.7-12.8 V full, 12.5-12.6 V okay, 12.2 V conserve, 12.0 V or lower stop optional loads.
Red high-roof camper, side awning/tarp setup, towbar visible, rear bed platform, curtains, under-bed storage, rear double doors, side-door cooking area, hob/pan area, and outdoor table/chair setup.
Known issues
The current injector fault matters, but it belongs here as one active item alongside timing belt proof, rust history, and documents to collect.
Recent fault: cuts out under 5th-gear load; injector-area fuel visible; mechanic reportedly found 2 injectors broken and 2 around/under 50% capacity. Treat as not long-trip-ready until fixed and road-tested.
Existing note says replaced 14 Aug 2018, but service-book photos do not clearly prove it. By age, book preventative replacement unless stronger evidence appears.
Late-2025 invoice shows major rust/APK work already done. Keep photos and invoice details linked because future APK/garage discussions will depend on this.
Collect previous APK reports, service-book photos, invoice photos, mileage readings, and any garage reports into the chronology.
Costs
Saved cost model for keeping the camper active all year versus suspending registration in winter.
